Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is a leading NHS teaching trust offering a wide range of clinical services. We are recruiting a Clinical Support Administrator to provide essential patient-facing administrative support to our clinical workforce.
Responsibilities- Administer diaries, correspondence and other administrative duties for named consultants and clinical staff.
- Prioritise and open incoming post, ensuring supporting information is available and urgent items are actioned in the absence of clinical staff.
- Monitor urgent investigation requests to ensure timely processing.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date filing systems, both paper and electronic.
- Provide a robust administration function that underpins high quality service delivery and maintain effective working relationships with clinical, nursing and administrative colleagues.
- Safeguard patient confidentiality at all times.
- GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths, grades A-C.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong communication skills - effective with patients, families and medical staff.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in managing records.
- Empathy and compassion for patients and their families.
- Organisational abilities - multitask and manage time efficiently in a fast paced environment.
- Previous experience in a healthcare or administrative role is preferred.

This post is subject to a six month probationary period (unless you already hold a contract with the Trust).
