Flourish Education are recruiting for a Drama Teacher to join a secondary school in Coventry, starting in September 2026 and continuing until June 2027. This part time role offers an opportunity for a Drama specialist to teach across KS3 and KS4 and support students in developing their creativity, confidence and practical performance skills.
The school is seeking a teacher who can deliver purposeful Drama lessons and engage pupils through a combination of practical performance and classroom-based learning. You will monitor student progress, maintain positive behaviour and contribute to the wider Performing Arts provision.
This opportunity would suit an experienced Drama Teacher or an ECT looking to develop their teaching experience.
Job Role:- Plan and deliver Drama lessons across KS3 and KS4
- Teach practical and theoretical aspects of Drama
- Develop students' performance, communication and teamwork skills
- Assess student work and monitor progress
- Provide constructive feedback
- Create a positive environment where students can participate confidently
- Maintain effective behaviour management
- Work alongside colleagues within the Performing Arts department
- Support performances and extracurricular activities where required
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Early Career Teacher (ECT)
- Previous experience teaching Drama or Performing Arts within a secondary school
- Good understanding of the KS3 and KS4 Drama curriculum
- Strong subject knowledge
- Experience planning and delivering engaging lessonsEffective classroom and behaviour management
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to establish positive relationships with students
- Flexible and professional approach
- Pay from £174.71 to £240.70 per day, equivalent to £34,068 to £46,937 based on a full time position across a full school year, dependent on experience (M1-M6)

This Drama Teacher role is based in Coventry and is easily commutable from Earlsdon, Finham, Cheylesmore, Canley, Tile Hill, Coundon, Radford, Binley, Bedworth, Nuneaton and Kenilworth. The school is accessible by car and public transport.
