We are excited to announce a major contract win with Southern Water! We are recruiting several Drainage Engineers to work in 2-person teams across Sussex. This is a fantastic opportunity to start a new career with us at Lanes Group.

Our operations run 24/7, requiring flexible working hours, including weekends and on-call shifts. Full training, PPE, and equipment will be provided to ensure all drainage engineers can perform to high standards regardless of background or experience.
Position Details- Role: Van Pack Drainage Engineer
- Location: Millbrook Depot, Southampton, Hampshire
- Type: Permanent, full-time
- Hours: Monday to Friday, 45 hours/week
- Salary: £30,500 per annum

As part of our Utility Division working on the Southern Water contract, you'll:
- Travel to residential sites in your van, operating high-pressure water jets for drain restoration
- Maintain and clear drainage systems
- Accurately record job details using specialist equipment
- Diagnose and repair drains
- Provide excellent customer service
- Follow health and safety practices
- Manage vehicle stock levels
- Utilize VISTEC and Salesforce platforms
- Work independently in all weather conditions, using PPE and safety systems
- Assess site risks dynamically upon arrival
- Communicate progress with clients
- Support colleagues and perform safety checks on tools and equipment
- Report defects and conduct risk assessments
- Adhere to company policies and perform additional duties as needed

About YouThe ideal candidate is hardworking, respectful, and committed to safety. Experience with high-pressure jetting is useful but not essential. Drainage qualifications such as NRSWA and Confined Spaces are advantageous. A full UK driver's license is mandatory.
