Job Description

We're partnering with a globally recognised media and technology company to find experienced .NET Backend Software Engineers for a long-term contract.


This is a fully remote opportunity open to contractors based in the EU who are passionate about building scalable, user-facing products used by millions.


Location: Fully Remote (EU-based only)

Engagement Type: Contract

Industry: Media & Technology

Day Rate: €300-€400


About the Role

You will join a high-performing engineering team responsible for delivering large-scale, customer-facing platforms. The work is focused on building and maintaining backend services using modern .NET and cloud technologies. The product stack supports millions of users and involves complex integrations, real-time data, and media streaming features.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop backend features using .NET
  • Design and maintain cloud-native microservices on Azure
  • Build and integrate with APIs used by end-users across web and mobile platforms
  • Contribute to system design discussions and ensure performance, scalability, and reliability
  • Deliver high-quality, well-tested code in an Agile team setting


Required Experience:

  • Strong commercial experience with modern .NET (Core or .NET 5-8)
  • Cloud-based development on Azure
  • Microservices architecture in production environments
  • Familiarity with JavaScript frameworks such as React.js or Angular
  • Experience building and maintaining external, customer-facing applications
  • Proven background working on large-scale, high-traffic products
  • Exposure to messaging/streaming technologies such as RabbitMQ, Kafka, or ServiceBus
  • Previous experience working in tech-first or software product companies
  • Fluent in English language


Desirable:

  • Experience in the media, streaming, or entertainment sectors
  • Strong understanding of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience in a fully distributed, remote-first environment
