We are looking for a caring, compassionate individual to join our cleaning services team. This role is ideal for someone starting a career in the NHS or with experience in cleaning, offering training and development opportunities.
The Domestic/Station Cleaner will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of our Trust Head Quarters - Horizon Place, following a schedule, and may support other stations and fixed sites as required.
This is a physically demanding role involving reaching, crouching, moving between rooms, and moving items.
Main duties of the job- Position 1: 15 hours per week, Mon - Fri 06:00 - 09:00
- Support cleaning services team to improve cleanliness standards and assurance across sites.
- May work additional hours or overtime within the same hours or as offered.
- Flexible working patterns and rotas for part time and full time staff.
- Holiday entitlement of 27 days, rising to 29 days after 5 years and 33 days after 10 years, plus public bank holiday entitlement (pro rata for part time).

- Previous cleaning experience is advantageous.
- Work with limited supervision.
- Communicate verbally with others clearly and courteously.
- Be polite, reliable and responsible.
- Understand Health and Safety, COSHH and Risk Assessments.
- Follow standard operating procedures and organisational policies.
- Be prepared to undertake training and development.
- Understanding of health and safety matters as they relate to cleaning duties.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Able to understand and follow written/verbal instructions and procedures.
- Awareness of risk assessment.
- Knowledge of COSHH.
- Awareness of Infection Prevention and Control.
- Experience of working without supervision.
- Previous work experience as a domestic cleaner.
- Flexible approach to duties and willingness to provide cover for colleagues.
- Punctual.
- Demonstrates a systematic, methodical approach to work.
- Displays initiative and ability to work without supervision.
- Enthusiastic about high standards of customer care.
- Reliable and conscientious.
- Willingness to travel between sites across the Trust footprint (including having access to a vehicle with appropriate level of insurance).
- Ability to extend hours to cover if necessary.

£25,272 a year. Unsocial and weekend rates for Band 2 will apply as applicable.
