Job Description
Job Overview

Domestic Assistant - Grade Band 2, Permanent contract, 37.5 hours per week (Monday to Sunday, flexible). Location: Worthing Hospital, Sussex.

Responsibilities
  • Clean clinical wards and departments to National Cleaning Standards 2021 (training provided).
  • Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and adhere to all Health and Safety requirements.
  • Assist hospital staff, visitors and patients while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Guide and direct visitors in a helpful and friendly manner.
  • Communicate sensitive information with tact and diplomacy, particularly in dealing with deceased family members.
  • Participate in departmental IT initiatives and any other duties within the grading of the post.
  • Work as part of a flexible, team-based Facilities Department.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with good command of spoken English.
  • Previous experience in a healthcare environment.
