Support Worker

Locations:Covering Launceston, Bodmin & Liskeard
Salary:£15.34 per hour + Holiday pay = £17.19
Hours:37 hours per week
Contract:Temporary - 2 months
Working hours:Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm, with approximately one weekend in six
Start:ASAP

We are looking for an experienced Support Worker to join a supported housing service working with people fleeing domestic abuse who may have complex support needs.

This is a community-based role, visiting supported living properties across Launceston, Bodmin and Liskeard. You will manage an allocated caseload, plan your own diary and provide person-centred support to help residents access services, maintain their accommodation and move towards greater independence.

Key responsibilities
  • Manage an allocated caseload and plan your own diary.
  • Visit residents across supported housing properties.
  • Complete risk assessments and regularly review support needs.
  • Develop and review individual support plans.
  • Provide tenancy sustainment and housing-related support.
  • Support residents withmove-on planningand preparation for independent living.
  • Provide practical and emotional support.
  • Support residents to access relevant community services.
  • Complete welfare checks and respond appropriately to safeguarding concerns.
  • Maintain accurate case notes, records and support documentation.
  • Work collaboratively with other professionals and external agencies.
  • Occasional home working for administration and case management.
About you

You will ideally have experience in supported housing, homelessness, domestic abuse, community work, mental health or social care.

  • Previous Support Worker experience.
  • A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
  • The ability to work independently and manage your own caseload.
  • A Full Enhanced DBS covering Adults and Children.
