Keep our organisation moving with an efficient, reliable service.Join CITB as a Distribution, Warehouse & Postroom Operative and play a vital role in ensuring mail, parcels, deliveries and internal documents are received, processed and distributed accurately across the organisation. Working as part of the Estates team, you'll provide a reliable, customer-focused service while maintaining high standards of security, efficiency and professionalism.
What you'll do- Receive, sort, process and distribute incoming and outgoing mail, parcels and deliveries.
- Arrange courier services and process recorded, registered and special delivery items.
- Operate franking, postage, scanning and mail tracking systems, maintaining accurate records.
- Provide excellent customer service, responding to enquiries and resolving routine issues.
- Assist with stock control and ordering of postal and packaging supplies.
- Handle confidential information securely and in line with data protection requirements.
- Support the wider Estates team and contribute to continuous service improvements.
- Follow health and safety procedures, including manual handling and secure storage of deliveries.
- Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to work to deadlines.
- Good digital skills, including Microsoft Office, printers and scanners.
- A valid UK driving licence.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Accurate administration and record-keeping abilities.
- Ability to safely carry out manual handling tasks.
- Warehouse, distribution or logistics experience.
- Telehandler CPCS qualification, or willingness to achieve this within six months.
- Understanding of health, safety and environmental standards.
