Job Description

Blackstone seeks a Vice President to join the EMEA Distribution Compliance team and act as primary counsel to Institutional Client Solutions and Private Wealth teams on distributing products and marketing materials across all business units.

Responsibilities
  • Review marketing materials, due diligence responses, investor communications and other reporting documents from a legal, regulatory and compliance perspective.
  • Advise on fund marketing and distribution matters and assess regulatory and business risks.
  • Act as the local EMEA subject matter expert for Private Wealth, both in Europe and globally.
  • Maintain internal policies, procedures and current regulatory guidance related to marketing.
  • Develop educational materials and trainings for Private Wealth business professionals on EMEA marketing and fundraising regulations.
  • Provide jurisdictional guidance on AIFMD, MiFID, CBDF, SFDR and other European marketing regimes as needed.
  • Assist in assessing regulatory risk through industry interaction, research and collaboration with global Legal & Compliance teams.
  • Handle day to day legal and compliance matters as required.
Qualifications
  • 6 9 years of experience in a compliance consultancy or alternative asset management firm.
  • Prior experience in a marketing/distribution compliance role with knowledge of alternative investments.
  • Familiarity with AIFMD, MiFID and other European marketing regulations is very desirable.
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical abilities and excellent drafting and organizational skills.
  • Excellent judgment, confident communication, diplomatic approach and strong teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to team efforts.
  • Initiative, creativity, drive and the ability to interpret legal and business terms.
