Are you a qualified Dispensing Optician looking for a new opportunity within an established independent optician?

We are working with an independent practice with locations in Dudley and Old Hill, who are looking to welcome a Dispensing Optician to their team.

This is an opportunity to work in a patient-focused environment where providing a personalised service and building long-term relationships with patients is at the heart of the role.

The Role

As a Dispensing Optician, you will be responsible for delivering a high standard of dispensing and patient care.

You will:

• Provide expert dispensing advice and guidance
• Help patients select frames and lenses suited to their needs
• Take accurate measurements and ensure a high standard of fitting
• Build strong, long-term patient relationships
• Support the wider practice team
• Maintain excellent customer service standards
• Ensure dispensing meets professional and regulatory standards

The average dispense value is around £200, with a professional business attire dress code.

About You

We're looking for a qualified and GOC-registered Dispensing Optician who is passionate about optics and enjoys providing a personal, high-quality service.

You will ideally be:

• GOC registered as a Dispensing Optician
• Experienced within a dispensing environment
• Confident and professional
• Customer-focused with excellent communication skills
• Well organised with strong attention to detail
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
• Flexible regarding Saturday working

Package & Benefits

• Salary up to £35,000, depending on experience
• Up to 37.5 hours per week 28 days' holiday, including bank holidays
• NEST pension scheme Statutory Sick Pay (SSP)
• Maternity pay included 45-minute lunch break Saturday is a normal paid working day
• Typically 1-2 Saturdays per month, although flexibility is required
• 6-month probationary period
• Potential future bonus structure based on store performance
• Street parking available
• Paid car park opposite the Old Hill practice

Working Hours

Monday-Friday: 9:00am-5:30pm
Saturday: 9:00am-4:00pm
Sunday: Closed
