Goods In / Dispatch Supervisor

Location: Newton Abbot, TQ12
Contract: Temporary to Permanent

gap personnel are currently recruiting for a Goods In / Dispatch Supervisor on behalf of a well-established manufacturing business based in Newton Abbot.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced warehouse or logistics professional looking to join a growing company that designs and manufactures high-quality specialist products, where quality, organisation and customer service are at the heart of everything they do.

The Role

As the Goods In / Dispatch Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operation of the Goods in and Dispatch departments, ensuring stock is received, stored, and despatched accurately, safely and on time.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise the Goods in and Dispatch teams.
  • Coordinate inbound deliveries and outbound shipments.
  • Ensure all goods are checked, booked in, and stored correctly.
  • Prepare and oversee customer orders for dispatch.
  • Maintain accurate stock records and inventory control.
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety procedures.
  • Liaise with production, purchasing and customer service departments.
  • Drive continuous improvements within warehouse operations.
  • Support and motivate the team to achieve daily targets.
What We're Looking For
  • Previous experience in a Goods In, Dispatch or Warehouse Supervisory role.
  • Strong organisational and leadership skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Good IT skills and experience using stock management systems.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Forklift licence (desirable but not essential).

  • Competitive hourly rate of £13.50 - £14.00, depending on experience.
