Job Description

Location: Southampton

Salary: £40,000 - £42,000 (+ performance-based increase)

Registered Nurses OTs Physios Paramedics

Full Time - Hybrid - Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm

The Role:
  • Conduct PIP (Personal Independence Payment) assessments via telephone and face-to-face appointments.
  • Assess how an individual's health conditions or disabilities impact their daily living and mobility.
  • Use your clinical knowledge, critical thinking and professional judgement to assess each claimant fairly and objectively.
  • Review medical evidence and information gathered during assessments.
  • Produce clear, accurate and detailed reports for the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP).
  • Use your clinical expertise in a role focused on quality and accuracy rather than speed.
  • No treatment or diagnosis is required, allowing you to use your existing clinical skills in a different environment.

Who We're Looking For:
  • Registered Adult Nurse, Mental Health Nurse, Learning Disability Nurse, Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapist or Paramedic
  • Minimum 1-year post-registration experience
  • Current NMC or HCPC registration
  • Strong communication and report-writing skills
  • Confident using IT and reviewing clinical information
  • Able to apply clinical knowledge and professional judgement objectively

Previous Disability Assessor experience is not essential - full training and support will be provided.
