Disability Assessor (PIP / WCA)

Nurses OTs Physiotherapist Paramedics (PIP only) Pharmacists (PIP only)

Hybrid Monday to Friday Competitive Salary + Bonus

Position based in South West and South-Central England. Hybrid role (home and office based).

Salary

• PIP Assessor (3 assessments a day): £47,000 + 5% bonus when completed training
• WCA Assessor (5 assessments a day): £50,000 + 5% bonus when completed training
• Candidates should ideally be open to PIP or WCA depending on local availability

What You'll Do

• Review all media and supporting evidence of the claimant
• Conduct structured assessments based on this evidence either face to face, telephone or video
• Explore their typical day and real world impact
• Assess reliability:
  • Can they do it safely, repeatedly, in a reasonable time frame and to an acceptable standard
• Explore variability (good/bad days, flare ups, fatigue patterns)
• Record findings clearly and neutrally
• Produce high quality, justified reports for the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP)
• Follow DWP safeguarding and professional standards

Training

• 12 week paid training (full time) covering:
  • Assessment techniques DWP guidelines
  • Report Writing
  • Fully supported before working independently

Qualifications (Required)

• Minimum 1-year post registration experience in a adult setting
• NMC/HCPC registered
• Full right to work in UK (sponsorship is NOT available)
• Strong clinical knowledge of long term conditions and functional assessment
• Strong communication and writing skills
• Confident with IT and typing
