Job overviewThe post holder will support the Trust to achieve RTT Performance standards. They will assist in RTT data collection for patients on clinical pathways and carry out data quality checks and data validation to ensure we capture accurate waiting times. The post holder will offer advice and support on RTT rules and support the understanding of the RTT measures and standard. The postholder will assist the Performance Manager with management of the the departments longest waiting patients and other operational actions.
Main duties of the jobThe post holder will support the Performance Manager, Directorate Manager and admin and clerical staff in data validation and support the operational team.
This role will support the Directorates of IMPReS Integrated musculoskeletal pain and Rheumatology Service and Haematology Service.
The role will involve daily contact with both clinical, and admin and clerical colleagues across the Directorate.
Training and Support will be provided upon commencing in post.

Person specification Qualifications- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Business Admin and/or customer services or equivalent level of working experience
- GCSE Grade C or above in English Language and Math's or equivalent level of literacy and numeracy
- ECDL or equivalent Microsoft -application
- NHS RTT E-Learning modules
- Extensive use of Microsoft Office including Outlook, word, excel
- Proven ability to work to deadlines
- NHS experience in an administrative or clerical environment where RTT is applicable
- Good in-depth working knowledge and operational use of NHS IT systems specifically around patient pathways and RTT rules
- Good communication skills ability to liaise with staff at all levels clearly and effectively both on telephone and face to face
- Ability to analyse data problems, to understand their causes and to resolve them
- Ability to prioritise and handle conflicting work demands
- Working knowledge of Access policy
- Knowledge of RTT Consultant - lead waiting times guidance
- Ability to work under pressure
- Ability to use initiative in problem solving
- Self-motivated
- Flexible to the needs of the service; willing to work as and when necessary

The healthcare sector is exempted from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974.
In line with other NHS organisations in the North West Region, the Trust is now passing the charge for undertaking a DBS check on to candidates in the event they are successfully appointed into the post for which they have applied. Candidates can choose whether to pay this over 1-3 months as a deduction from the monthly salary. The cost of an Enhanced Disclosure will be £55.38 and for a Standard Disclosure will be £27.38.
