Verra Mobility Commercial Services creates smart roadways, serving the world's largest commercial fleets and rental car companies to manage tolling transactions and violations. Arizona-headquartered Verra Mobility Corp. Operates in 15 countries and in 22 languages.

We see opportunities to expand into Europe. Our European headquarters are in Amsterdam, from which we launched our tolling and violation management solution business in Europe in 2019. We also have offices in London, Madrid, and Amsterdam, with a workforce of close to 100 people.

Our European enforcement business, operating under the EPC Plc brand, specializes in helping major road operators and cities across Europe identify, notify, and collect unpaid traffic, parking and mobility-related fees. This business sits at the core of processes for over 1,000 road and mobility agencies, enabling value from tolls, low emission zones or parking by collecting revenues through a pan-European service spanning over 30 countries.

Additionally, our European tolling business has established relationships with tolling authorities throughout Spain, Portugal, France, Italy and Ireland, offering interoperable electronic tolling directly to consumers, via white-label partnerships, and to Rental Car customers, depending on location.

About this Team and Role

Sales Director within the Commercial Services business unit to lead our efforts in DACH and Nordics specifically Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Hungary, Poland, as well as all other Nordics countries for our enforcement business. As the Sales Director for the DACH and Nordics region, you will drive business growth, expand market presence, and build strategic partnerships in the mobility sector. Your primary focus will be on developing and executing sales strategies to maximize revenue and achieve business objectives. You will leverage your tolling, parking, road user charging, and enforcement expertise to identify new business opportunities, build strong customer relationships, and drive successful outcomes. As a key account owner, you will also manage client and supplier relationships, be the primary contact with the customer, and interface with internal departments to ensure client needs are met accurately and promptly.

What You'll Do
  • Develop an attractive pipeline of opportunities across the DACH and Nordics region, aligned with the company's goals and objectives.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities for our violations business in smart mobility, tolling, parking, low-emission zones, and road user charging.
  • Be the primary point of contact for all existing key accounts in building and maintaining B2B relationships.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, transportation authorities, municipalities, and private sector customers.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify industry trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape, providing insights to inform business strategies.
  • Lead the entire sales cycle, from prospecting and qualification to proposal development, negotiation, and contract closure.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, engineering, and operations, to ensure seamless project implementation and customer satisfaction.
  • Review and research problems, exercise problem solving skills, and offer ideas for improvement.
  • Manage client deliverables; ensure reports, information and updates meet client expectations; resolve external supplier, client and customer issues.
  • Attend industry events, conferences, and exhibitions to network, generate leads, and promote the company's solutions.
  • Stay up to date with industry developments, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes in the smart mobility landscape.
  • Prepare and present regular sales reports, forecasts, and performance metrics to senior management.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to the business development team, fostering a collaborative, high-performance culture.
What You'll Need
  • Bachelor's degree in business or marketing required; master's degree in business administration (MBA) preferred.
  • Proven experience (8+ years) in business development, sales, or strategic partnerships within the smart mobility industry, specifically in tolling, parking, road user charging, and/or enforcement required.
  • Strong network and established relationships with key stakeholders in the DACH and Nordics region.
  • Demonstrated track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to identify market opportunities and develop innovative solutions.
  • Familiarity with smart mobility technologies, industry standards, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Proven track record of successful partnership creation and management in Europe.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong business acumen.
  • Based in Amsterdam, The Netherlands with occasional international travel required.
