Job Description

Here at Principal Resourcing, we have a fantastic opportunity for a Director of Learning to join the Humanities Department at one of our inclusive Secondary Academies based in BB4.

You will contribute to the development of a strong, effective school with an emphasis on promoting a culture of educational excellence for all students and staff in your care. You must be confident in devising and implementing a development plan for the departmental staff, with clear annual targets that recognize performance data and expectations within the department.

The Secondary School based in Lancashire is proud to offer a vibrant and inclusive place of learning for students aged 11-18 years. They are seeking to appoint a full-time Director of Learning from September 2025 onwards to meet the needs of the school. Salary is negotiable depending on experience, and we offer competitive rates of pay.

We are seeking applicants with:
  • Excellent Leadership skills and/or experience
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Ability to teach GCSE Geography; A-level teaching is desirable
  • Confidence, inclusivity, and passion for their subject
  • Strong subject knowledge and familiarity with the UK Humanities Curriculum
  • An enhanced DBS disclosure or willingness to obtain one through us
  • Right to Work in the UK; unfortunately, we are unable to offer Visa Sponsorship
