This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing Multi-Academy trust as Director of HR and Operations on a permanent basis to lead and oversee the HR and Operations functions within a not-for-profit organisation. The majority of the schools are based in South Oxfordshire, and you will have the opportunity to manage your own diary when it comes to office presence.
Client Details
Our client is a growing MAT, with some ambitious growth plans over the next 12 months. The organisation is strongly values-based, and this role will support the CEO in driving efficiencies and improving working life within the trust to ensure that they are an employer of choice for current employees and those looking for new roles in education.
You will manage a team of 10 across HR, Estates, and IT, who manage the operational and day-to-day running of the trust, freeing up your time to focus on driving the strategy forward.
Description
The Director of HR & Operations will have the following responsibilities:
- Provide strategic leadership and direction for the HR and Operations functions.
- Develop and implement HR and operational strategies that align with the organisation's goals.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
- Lead on the organisation's recruitment, retention, and staff development strategies.
- Oversee the management of the organisation's facilities.
- Develop and manage the organisation's operational budget.
- Foster a positive and supportive work environment.
This role sits as part of the Senior Leadership team, ensuring you have a real voice in changes and decision making.
Profile
A successful Director of HR and Operations should have:
- A proven track record of leading HR and Operations in an educational setting, ideally within a Multi-Academy trust.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
- Excellent understanding of HR practices and employment law.
- Strong strategic thinking and planning abilities.
- A level 7 CIPD or Level 7 ILM/CMI.
