The Senior Head of is responsible for the Cloud Services business area, ensuring the business delivers the tools, services, technology, and security protections that will delight Capita's internal and external customers. The Senior Head of provides strong leadership and direction to the business area, setting the business area's strategic objectives that will align to the overarching pillar and divisional strategies.

About the Role:

This is a senior role within Capita's Technical Operations Delivery team. Reporting directly to the Managing Director of IT & Networks, you will lead over 300 IT professionals in delivering and developing Cloud services for Capita's internal and external clients. This role offers an opportunity to develop services with new technologies, managing infrastructure from on-premise to hybrid and public clouds (primarily Azure & AWS).

You will work with skilled teams to develop our Cloud Service offerings, establish new offerings, optimize cloud usage, and shape strategic direction and adoption.

As the Director, you will provide leadership, ensuring a clear vision, strategy, and objectives, using data and reporting to identify challenges and drive improvements. You will standardize and improve service delivery for resilient and predictable outcomes.

What you will be doing:

• Lead the Cloud business area, aligning it with strategy and customer needs.
• Manage the Heads of Cloud Services, including development, performance, and succession planning.
• Develop cost-effective delivery models aligned with industry best practices.
• Create and share management reports with stakeholders.
• Build effective relationships within the organization.
• Be accountable for financial performance.
• Act as the senior escalation point within Cloud Services.
• Ensure compliance with policies from CISO and participate in governance.

What we are looking for:

• Deep understanding of Cloud technologies, especially Azure and AWS.
• Strong leadership with the ability to inspire and motivate.
• Excellent people management and relationship skills.
• Ability to stay updated on market trends and adapt accordingly.
• Financial and business management skills, including Cloud FinOps.
• Proven planning, prioritization, and delegation skills.
