Role OverviewA member of the Global Change Delivery leadership team, responsible for leading the Business Analyst team and supporting the definition and evolution of the Requirements Lifecycle within Global Transaction Banking.
Build and lead a high-performing, skilled, engaged, and diverse global BA team, fostering a culture of excellence, continuous improvement, and professional growth to achieve strategic objectives and deliver exceptional customer service.
Accountable for the BA team outcomes in support of the Global Transaction Banking strategy, aligning with the bank's overall goals to ensure best-in-class delivery support for all projects in the portfolio.
Ensure the development of high-quality product requirements, demonstrating robust analysis, critical thinking, and decision-making with full traceability to desired outcomes, evolving market requirements, client, and regulatory demands.
Lead and coordinate the discovery phase across the end-to-end value chain to enable the development of innovative solutions, considering major competitor activity and client feedback.
Engage proactively and collaborate with all cross-functional teams including sales, technology, operations, risk, and compliance to ensure cohesive delivery, traceability, and stakeholder sign-offs, establishing strong relationships globally.
Maintain high standards for requirements, emphasizing control by design and automation throughout the lifecycle, with appropriate governance and controls.
Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders across the group.
Purpose of the RoleSupport the organization in achieving strategic objectives by identifying business requirements and solutions that address business problems and opportunities.
Accountabilities- Analyze business problems and client requirements requiring change.
- Develop business requirements to address these problems and opportunities.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure solutions meet their needs and expectations.
- Support the creation of business cases justifying investments.
- Conduct feasibility studies on proposed solutions.
- Report on project progress to ensure timely and within-budget delivery.
- Create operational and process designs to ensure solutions are delivered within scope.
- Support change management activities, including developing a traceability matrix for successful implementation.
- Manage a business function, contributing to strategic initiatives, policies, and procedures.
- Lead and embed a performance culture within a large team or manage organization-wide projects as a technical expert and thought leader.
- Advise senior management and influence decisions outside own function.
- Manage resourcing, budgeting, and policy creation for a significant sub-function.
- Ensure compliance with policies and regulations, monitoring external environment and regulators.
- Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of industry practices and external developments.
- Use advanced analytical skills to solve complex problems and design solutions.
- Make strategic decisions and influence stakeholders at senior levels.
- Act as principal contact for key clients and external counterparts.
- Represent the function and business division as a spokesperson.
