About Nscale

Nscale is the GPU cloud engineered for AI. We provide cost-effective, high-performance infrastructure for AI start-ups and large enterprise customers. Nscale enables AI-focused companies to achieve superior results by reducing the complexity of AI development. Our GPU cloud bolsters technical capabilities and directly supports strategic business outcomes, including cost management, rapid innovation, and environmental responsibility.

We thrive on a culture of relentless innovation, ownership, and accountability, where every team member takes pride in their work and drives it with excellence and urgency. As an Nscaler, you'll build trust through openness and transparency, where everyone is inspired to do their best work. If you join our team, you'll be contributing to building the technology that powers the future.

About the Role

We're hiring a Director to lead diligence across strategic capital raises, infrastructure investments, and large scale technology programs.

This role sits at the intersection of technical consulting, infrastructure engineering, investment strategy, and commercial diligence. You'll work across engineering, infrastructure, operations, finance, and investment teams, acting as the technical authority on whether complex infrastructure and deployment programs are operationally feasible, commercially sound, and ready for capital commitment.

Your work will directly shape how investment opportunities are evaluated before capital is deployed. By bringing rigor to technical execution risk, downside protection, revenue assurance, and operational readiness, you'll help ensure Nscale makes well grounded decisions on critical AI infrastructure initiatives.

What you'll be doing
  • Lead end to end technical and commercial due diligence for strategic investments, M&A activity, capital raises, infrastructure deployments, and financing transactions.
  • Assess deployment programs across data center design and architecture, GPU infrastructure and cluster design, and network architecture and performance.
  • Evaluate power, cooling, redundancy, resiliency, scalability, and operational readiness across complex infrastructure programs.
  • Validate SLA feasibility and performance guarantees against real deployment and operating conditions.
  • Determine whether infrastructure and engineering designs can realistically achieve contracted SLAs, utilization targets, revenue assumptions, and performance commitments.
  • Quantify technical risk exposure, downside protection scenarios, recovery paths, and operational failure risks tied to investment structures.
  • Review deployment programs, implementation schedules, procurement strategies, and operational dependencies to surface hidden risks and execution bottlenecks.
  • Partner closely with engineering, infrastructure, operations, finance, and investment teams to validate assumptions and identify execution gaps.
  • Challenge engineering assumptions and independently validate deployment claims and operational readiness.
  • Translate highly technical findings into clear executive level recommendations for senior leadership, investors, and financing stakeholders.
  • Support corporate strategy initiatives involving AI infrastructure, high performance compute, cloud, networking, and large scale technical deployments.
  • Develop diligence frameworks, technical review methodologies, and risk assessment standards across the organization.
About You
  • 10 years of experience in technical consulting, infrastructure strategy, technical diligence, engineering advisory, or related fields.
  • Significant experience leading technical and commercial diligence projects tied to investments, financings, M&A, infrastructure deployments, or large scale technology programs.
  • Strong understanding of data center infrastructure, GPU clusters, and AI compute environments.
  • Strong understanding of networking and interconnect architecture, cloud and hybrid infrastructure, and resiliency and redundancy models.
  • Experience assessing SLA design, operational performance metrics, and deployment feasibility.
  • Proven ability to evaluate technical feasibility alongside commercial and financial implications.
  • Ability to challenge engineering assumptions and independently validate deployment claims and operational readiness.
  • Strong executive communication skills with the ability to synthesize technical complexity into strategic business insights.
  • Experience working cross functionally with infrastructure, finance, legal, investment, and operations stakeholders.
  • Background from a leading technical consulting firm, engineering advisory firm, hyperscaler, infrastructure operator, or strategy organization strongly preferred.
