The Director of AI Resourcing leads Lionbridge's global freelance partner sourcing function in support of our rapidly growing AI Data Services business. This role is critical to ensuring we can identify, engage, and scale qualified freelance partners quickly and effectively to meet customer commitments across global AI programs and initiatives.
Partnering closely with Global Program Directors, Sales, Solutions, and regional leaders, the Director drives sourcing strategy, capacity planning, and pre sales support for active pursuits, RFPs, and customer engagements. Operating in a fast paced environment, this leader must manage multiple priorities simultaneously, deliver sourcing insights on aggressive timelines, and make sound, data driven decisions under pressure.
What You Will Do- Lead Lionbridge's global AI sourcing function, supporting the successful delivery of large scale AI Data Services programs across multiple regions and markets.
- Partner closely with Global Program Directors, Sales, Solutions, and regional leadership teams to develop sourcing strategies aligned to customer and operational needs.
- Define sourcing approaches for active projects and pre sales pursuits, including freelance partner profiles, market feasibility, lead times, and cost considerations.
- Design and execute targeted sourcing and outreach campaigns to identify and engage qualified freelance partners at speed and scale.
- Assess existing community coverage against project requirements and identify sourcing gaps across skills, languages, locations, and availability.
- Lead freelance partner vetting, validation, and identity verification processes to ensure quality and compliance standards are met.
- Provide sourcing expertise and market insights to support RFPs, proposals, pricing discussions, and customer facing pursuits.
- Translate commercial commitments into executable sourcing plans that align delivery expectations with operational realities.
- Build scalable sourcing processes, tools, and reporting methodologies that improve efficiency, forecasting accuracy, and campaign performance over time.
- Maintain visibility into onboarding outcomes and partner experience trends, escalating issues that may impact sourcing effectiveness or community retention.
- Deliver executive level updates on sourcing performance, workforce capacity, operational risks, and pipeline readiness.
- Lead, coach, and develop a globally distributed team of sourcing professionals across multiple countries and time zones.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen sourcing operations, workforce scalability, and the overall freelance partner experience.
- Leadership Experience: 10+ years of people leadership experience, including management of global and distributed teams.
- Sourcing Expertise: 8+ years of sourcing, recruitment, or talent acquisition experience, ideally within AI, technology, freelance, gig economy, or workforce operations environments.
- Global Workforce Experience: Proven success designing and executing high volume, multi market sourcing campaigns.
- Commercial Acumen: Experience supporting pre sales activities, RFPs, and customer pursuits with sourcing feasibility, workforce planning, and market intelligence.
- Operational Strength: Strong understanding of sourcing metrics, workforce analytics, capacity planning, and scalable operational processes.
- Stakeholder Management: Ability to influence cross functional stakeholders and operate effectively within a matrixed global organization.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with confidence engaging executive, operational, and customer audiences.
- Adaptability: Ability to operate with urgency, manage ambiguity, and make sound decisions in fast moving environments.
- Industry Knowledge: Experience within AI Data Services, localization, language services, or gig based workforce models is highly preferred.
- Languages: Fluency in English required; additional languages are a strong plus.
