As a Director you will play a pivotal role in driving business growth and shaping the strategic direction of PwC's G&PS practice. You will lead complex programmes that build public trust and deliver lasting improvements across the public sector. You will bring deep knowledge of Ireland's public sector and political context, exceptional stakeholder leadership, and a proven record of successful delivery in complex, matrixed environments.Purpose-Led Work You'll Be Part OfAs a Director , you will leverage your influence, expertise and network to deliver quality results for Public Sector clients while driving business growth for PwC's Government & Public Sector team. You will:Business Development & GrowthLead sector and account growth within G&PS go-to-market strategiesIdentify , develop and convert new business opportunities in key accountsLead end to end business development cycle, including proposal development and client pitches for major government contractsAchieve annual business development and managed revenue targetsExpand PwC's presence across priority subsectors, including Transport , Housing and wider government sectorsClient & Delivery LeadershipLead , and have overall accountability for , large-scale transformation programmes across government and public sector clientsOversee the development and implementation of future-state operating models, organisational structures, and workforce strategiesEnsure delivery of high-quality outputs aligned to client expectations, project goals and PwC standardsApply and champion project management and change management methodologies across transformation initiativesCollaborate with clients to co-create solutions that address complex organisational challengesDrive benefits realisation and sustained value creation across engagementsStakeholder & Relationship ManagementBuild and maintain strong relationships with senior government stakeholders and decision-makersAnticipate stakeholder needs, developing and discussing potential solutions pre-emptivelyNavigate political and operational complexities with confidence and credibilityFacilitate stakeholder engagement at the most senior levelsTeam Leadership & DevelopmentLead, mentor, and develop teams of Senior Managers and M ana gersConduct performance reviews and provide ongoing coaching and feedbackFoster an inclusive and collaborative team environmentRecruit and retain top talent with public sector expertiseContribute to the overall capability development of the G&PS practiceYour ProfileRequiredA recognised University Degree with 10+ years' experience in management consulting or senior public sector roles, particularly in the Transport, Housing or wider government sectorsA strong track record in business development, client relationship management and winning major government contractsStrong commercial acumen with demonstrated ability to identify , shape, and convert business development opportunitiesDeep understanding of two or more of the following capabilities: Operating Model Design, Public Sector Procurement, Transformation Delivery, Programme Management or Change ManagementComprehensive knowledge of the challenges facing Irish government and public sector organisationsExceptional stakeholder management and communication skills, with experience navigating political and operational complexities at senior levelsProven leadership experience managing and developing diverse, high-performing teamsPreferredMaster's degree, MBA or relevant professional qualificationExisting network of senior relationships across Irish government and public sectorExperience delivering complex transformation programmesEnjoy PwC's perksWe reward your impact, and support your wellbeing, through a competitive compensation package, inclusive employee benefits and flexibility programs that will help you thrive in work and life.
