Responsibilities- Serve healthy nutritious meals to pupils whilst ensuring that the dining room area is clean and hygienic.
- Set up and clear away tables.
- Perform general cleaning duties.
- Maintain accurate records for pupils who have food allergies and special dietary requirements.
- Ability to build good relationships with adults and children based on mutual respect.
- Knowledge of basic food safety (an advantage, but not essential; full training will be given).
- Good communication and people skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills.
- Flexibility and willingness to assist with other catering duties.
- Basic conversational Welsh (Level 2). Reasonable support can be provided on appointment to reach this level.
- An Enhanced Barred List Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check will be requested for this job. It is an offence to apply if the applicant is barred from engaging in regulated activity relevant to children or adults at risk.
