Dining Hall Supervisor

Contract type: Permanent

Work pattern:10 hours per week,Term Time Only + 3 Teacher Training Days (38.6 weeks)

Hours of work:Monday -Friday,11:30am- 1:30pm

Salary information: Scale 2, £6,788 - £6,885 per annum (dependent upon experience)

Start date: ASAP

Are you a happy, caring, and responsible individual who loves working with children? We are seeking to appoint a Dining Hall Supervisor to join our experienced, supportive team.

At Breakspear, lunchtimes are about more than just food-they are a vital part of our children's social development and well-being. You will work collaboratively to ensure our pupils enjoy a safe, happy and well-structured lunchtime experience.

What the Role Involves:
  • Creating a Welcoming Space: Setting up the dining hall tables and benches ready for lunch service.
  • Supporting Healthy Habits: Helping children practice good hygiene (like washing hands), encouraging healthy eating and maintaining a calm, disciplined dining environment.
  • Playground Engagement: Supervising children during their breaks and actively leading fun play activities on the playground.
  • Safety & Care: Keeping a watchful eye on children with food allergies, managing quick clean-ups of spillages and providing a caring first response to minor playground cuts or grazes.
