Description techUK is seeking a proactive and delivery-focused Digital Marketing Manager to bring our digital strategies to life. This role is central to implementing high-quality, targeted digital campaigns that engage our members, showcase our work, and support techUK's wider communications and policy objectives. The successful candidate will thrive on turning plans into action and ensuring digital excellence across all channels.
Role Purpose
The Digital Marketing Manager will play a key role in delivering techUK's digital communications and campaigns. Working within the Communications and Brand team, they will be responsible for implementing digital marketing activity that supports member engagement, policy influence, and brand visibility. This includes day-to-day management of techUK's website, email marketing, social media channels and SEO, as well as delivering digital elements of events, partnerships and member communications. The role is suited to a hands-on digital marketer who is comfortable taking strategic direction and translating it into impactful, measurable activity. This role reports into the Head of Press and Media.

Additional Information This is a full time role based out of techUK's London offices, however, we are open to considering flexible working arrangements.
This role profile is a guide to the work that is required but does not form part of any contract of employment and may change from time to time to reflect changing circumstances.
The successful candidate must have permission to work in the UK prior to the commencement of employment.
The salary range for this role is £34,000-£44,000 per annum based upon experience plus discretionary bonus and comprehensive benefits.

Key Responsibilities
- Campaign Delivery: Implement and manage digital marketing campaigns across email, website and social media channels in line with strategic plans
- Content Management: Oversee day-to-day digital content updates, ensuring messaging is accurate, timely and aligned with techUK's brand guidelines
- Email Marketing: Develop, schedule and report on segmented email campaigns, improving member engagement and supporting event participation and policy engagement
- Website Maintenance: Ensure the techUK website remains up to date and optimised for search (SEO), accessibility and user experience
- Social Media Coordination: Create and schedule engaging content across platforms, manage daily activity, and coordinate coverage of our key live events
- Performance Tracking: Monitor analytics and key metrics, producing regular reports and actionable insights to improve campaign effectiveness
- Internal Support: Work closely with programme, membership, events and marcomms teams to support digital delivery and align messages across platforms
- Partnership and Contra Marketing: Manage the delivery of marketing elements for partnership events and contra marketing agreements, ensuring obligations are met and brand value is maintained
- Best Practice Implementation: Champion digital and SEO best practice, supporting the wider team with guidance on digital communications and content planning
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise Core Competencies
- Strong digital delivery skills and attention to detail
- Competency with digital marketing tools, including CMS platforms, email marketing systems, CRM systems, SEO tools, and social media management tools
- Experience producing content for different digital formats and audiences, with consideration for SEO
- Ability to interpret analytics and apply insights to optimise performance
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Team-oriented approach and confident communicator
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to engage internal and external stakeholders on marketing strategies.
- Experience in a digital marketing role, delivering campaigns and managing platforms hands-on
- Strong working knowledge of email campaign platforms (e.g., Click, Dotdigital, Mailchimp or similar)
- Experience using content management systems (e.g., Preside, WordPress, Drupal), with a focus on SEO optimisation
- Familiarity with Google Analytics, SEO performance tools (e.g., Google Search Console), CRM systems and social media scheduling tools
- An understanding of GDPR and data compliance in a digital context
- Experience working in a membership organisation, policy-focused environment or within the tech sector
- Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics or comparable CRM systems
- Understanding of the UK tech landscape and policy environment
