Developing and maintaining a content calendar aligned with campaign priorities and business goals.
Producing thought leadership articles, blogs, and educational content optimized for SEO to increase visibility and engagement.
Creating impactful case studies and whitepapers to support lead generation and demonstrate Mercia's value to clients.
Collaborating with subject matter experts to develop authoritative, industry-relevant content.
Ensuring brand tone of voice and messaging is consistent across all written content.
Email Marketing
Planning, creating, and executing integrated email campaigns across various customer segments.
Developing and managing lifecycle workflows to support client onboarding, retention, cross-sell, and upsell initiatives.
Leveraging data-driven insights to segment audiences and deliver personalized email communications.
Monitoring and reporting on key performance metrics (open rates, click-through rates, conversions), making recommendations to improve future campaigns.
Conducting A/B testing on subject lines, content, and design to maximize campaign effectiveness.
Collaboration and Stakeholder Management
Working closely with the wider Marketing team to align content and email activity with overall marketing plans.
Collaborating with sales and other departments to ensure marketing activity supports lead generation and customer engagement objectives.
Supporting internal communications initiatives as required to engage employees and align them with Mercia's brand strategy.

Essential and desirable capabilities:
- Previous experience in a marketing role (B2B, B2C, or agency background welcome).
- A strong interest in content creation and email marketing.
- Excellent written communication skills to produce engaging, audience-focused copy.
- Good organizational skills to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- A proactive, creative approach with confidence to introduce new ideas.
Additional skills that would be beneficial:
- Knowledge of SEO principles and experience creating optimized content.
- Experience with email marketing platforms (e.g., HubSpot, Mailchimp).
- Ability to analyze campaign data and apply insights for improvement.
