Digital Communications and Stakeholder Engagement - Senior Specialist
Description Contract type: Permanent, Full-time
Hours: 37.5 Salary: circa £45,000, depending on experience Location: London - Canary Wharf WFH policy: Employees are required to attend the office 2 days/week Flexible working: Variety of flexible work patterns subject to line manager discretion e.g. Compressed 9-day fortnight. Reports to: Stakeholder and External Communications Manager

Role Summary:
The Digital Communications and Stakeholder Engagement - Senior Specialist will lead the development and implementation of the company's digital communications strategy. The postholder will be responsible for the creation, management and delivery of content for our online communications channels including the corporate website and social media. The role will also require working with communications teams in DESNZ and our delivery partner organisations, Ofgem, NESO and our settlement agent, EMRS (a subsidiary of ELEXON).
Key Responsibilities Content Creation
Lead the development and implementation of the company's digital communications strategy.
Develop and curate engaging multimedia content tailored to various online media platforms, including text, images, infographics and videos.
Ensure content is optimised for search engines (SEO) and adheres to brand guidelines.
Advise the business on digital best practice to achieve business goals.
Website Content Management
Implement a content management strategy to ensure accuracy, consistency and quality of website content.
Work with the business to develop and implement a compelling content plan for the corporate website, aligned with organisational objectives.
Work with LCCC's Product Team and UX Designer to identify improvements and new functionality for the corporate website, leading to an improved user experience.
Social Media Management
Plan and implement social media strategies to increase brand awareness, enhance the reputation of the business and grow reach.
Work with the People team to communicate LCCC's employee value proposition on LinkedIn and other online platforms in order to attract and retain talent.
Develop and launch a strategy to promote employee advocacy across social media channels to amplify LCCC's brand reach and credibility.
Interact with followers and respond to mentions, comments and messages in order to foster positive relationships with stakeholders.
Performance Analysis
Monitor and analyse social media metrics to assess the effectiveness of campaigns and adjust strategies accordingly.
Use Google Analytics and other online tools to understand user behaviours on the corporate website, and communicate insight to business areas.
Monthly reporting and analysis of website and social media engagement.
Stakeholder Engagement
Work with Communications colleagues, design, and other internal departments to ensure cohesive messaging and branding across all platforms.
Engage with external stakeholders such as generators, government bodies and other partners to develop and promote content collaborations.
Email Marketing
Plan and execute email marketing campaigns to promote events, initiatives, and provide updates to stakeholders.
Manage email lists, segment audiences, and analyse email campaign performance.
Trend Monitoring
Stay updated on emerging social media trends and tools, and best practices for online user experience to keep the company's online presence relevant and effective.
Communications and Stakeholder Engagement
Work as part of the wider Communications and Stakeholder Engagement team to deliver the business's external communications strategy as required.
Skills Knowledge and Expertise Degree or equivalent experience in communications. Proven experience in digital communications, social media management, and content creation. Familiarity with best practice in website accessibility (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines). Awareness of best practice in search engine optimisation (SEO) and online user experience. Strong written and verbal communications skills with the ability to write clear, engaging, and persuasive content for diverse audiences. Creative and innovative mindset to develop unique social media campaigns and content. Technical proficiency with social media management tools, analytics platforms, and website content management systems. Ability to interpret data and make informed decisions based on insights from web and social media performance metrics. Excellent attention to detail to ensure all content aligns with the brand tone of voice and is free of errors. Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Ability to tailor complex information into clear engaging content for different audiences. Confident dealing with senior stakeholders both internally and externally. Experience of working with design software, such as Canva, Photoshop or Illustrator.
