Digital Asset Operations Specialist is a hands on operational role. The position focuses on first line ICT and outsourced activities.
The role provides support for outsourcing governance and 1LoD ICT requirements, ensuring high quality operations and adherence to regulatory expectations under MiCA/CASP and DORA.
Digital Asset ICT Specialist
Key Responsibilities
1.1LoD ICT Support
- Operate and maintain ICT infrastructure, systems, and applications.
- Ensure availability, performance, and resilience of ICT services supporting critical or important functions.
- Manage day-to-day IT service delivery and coordination with external ICT service providers.
- Support the monitoring of ICT risks, logging issues relating to:
- Access rights
- ICT incidents
- Vulnerability/cyber alerts
- Assist in maintaining ICT governance documentation for DAC related systems.
- Contribute to testing activities, ICT change reviews and evidence collection.
- Work with Technology and Risk partners to ensure operational processes align with ICT controls.
2.Cyber security
- Operate cyber security and information security controls across systems and networks.
- Enforce access control, authentication, monitoring and logging mechanisms
- Support vulnerability management and cyber incident detection and response
3.HSM Management
- Act as First Line owner for HSM operations, including cryptographic key generation, storage, and signing.
- Ensure HSMs are operated in line with approved security architecture, cryptographic standards, and access controls.
- Enforce dual control/quorum based administration and segregation of duties.
- Coordinate HSM vendor support, maintenance, upgrades, and life cycle changes through formal change management.
4. Escalation Support
- Act as the first level escalation point for operational incidents, including:
- Reconciliation breaks
- Platform or system disruptions
- Issues raised by GBS hubs or our providers
- Conduct preliminary impact assessments and escalate appropriately to senior team members.
- Assist in documenting incidents and providing supporting data for further investigation.
5. Outsourcing Support and DoRA Alignment
- Maintain accurate records of outsourced operational tasks
- Assist in preparing data for outsourcing notifications, assessments and reviews.
- Support SLA and KPI tracking, noting deviations and raising concerns where needed.
- Maintain inventories and documentation required for CSSF/Group outsourcing governance.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Essential
- EXPERIENCE in IT operations and cyber security within regulated financial services
- Practical EXPERIENCE with HSMs or enterprise cryptographic platforms
- Digital assets knowledge
- Understanding of DORA and Three Lines of Defence governance
Desirable
- Familiarity with CSSF ICT and outsourcing expectations
- EXPERIENCE with FIPS validated cryptographic environments
