Job Description
Overview

Robert Walters is working in partnership with a global financial institution with a strong presence in investment banking, corporate banking, asset management, and private banking. They are appointing a DevOps Lead in a greenfield appointment to shape key initiatives from the ground up, drive cutting-edge DevOps practices, technology-centric transformation, and collaborate with global technology teams to deliver impactful solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Provide hands-on technical, functional, and management support
  • Manage global critical applications
  • Own strategy and delivery of automation, application, and infrastructure monitoring improvements
  • Manage platforms resilience
  • Apply forward-thinking solutions
  • Lead transformation initiatives to improve the technology landscape
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve performance
  • Improve performance across group technology
  • Address technical debt across areas including:
  • Java, UNIX, Linux, Middleware, WebLogic, Cloud Platforms
  • Observability tools
  • Designing, developing, and implementing technology advancements
  • Improve resilience of complex production environments
Qualifications and Experience
  • Senior management level experience
  • Strong background in DevOps and Cloud technologies
  • Experience in transformation and improving technology landscapes
  • Ability to develop and implement strategies to enhance performance

Salary: £70,000 - £80,000 per year plus benefits

Location: Birmingham (Central), Hybrid working model
