DevOps Lead - FinTech Market Leader - Birmingham

Bramwith Consulting is recruiting for a DevOps Lead to join our global FinTech client's Birmingham HQ. The role is hybrid: 3 days in office and 2 days flexi working.

Role Overview

Join a well established FinTech operating across the globe. The DevOps team is responsible for the foundations that enable software growth, and the team faces key challenges: security migration to the cloud, automation via IaC, reliability while scaling the platform, and FinOps.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define and implement the DevOps vision, including technology stack, tools, and roadmap.
  • Lead, mentor, and grow the DevOps engineering team; foster collaboration and high performance.
  • Manage production, QA, and development environments for high availability, scalability, and performance.
  • Design and implement production monitoring, proactively detecting performance bottlenecks and security vulnerabilities.
  • Streamline deployment pipelines, automate processes, and ensure rapid, reliable builds and releases.
  • Respond to incidents on mission critical systems, minimizing client and market impact.
  • Champion adoption of new technologies to improve reliability, performance, scalability and security.
  • Collaborate with international DevOps Leads to share knowledge and shape group wide best practices.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Proven leadership in DevOps or SRE, managing teams in a software/SaaS environment.
  • Experience in FinTech, Energy Trading (ETRM) or similar regulated domains.
  • Advanced expertise with Azure Cloud and container orchestration.
  • Strong automation scripting abilities.
  • Proficiency with CI/CD tooling, particularly Azure DevOps.
  • Solid troubleshooting and problem solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Relevant certifications (Azure, DevOps) are a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
Salary

£70k £100k base salary, plus bonus and benefits.
