Conpend is a rapidly growing Financial Services software provider focused on innovation. We are looking for a DevOps Engineer - Release Manager to join our expanding technology team. In this role, you will design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure, optimize deployment pipelines, and enhance system security and scalability.
You will also collaborate with development teams and assist customers by designing, implementing
and optimizing the infrastructure. You will also be involved in designing and optimizing customer infrastructure to meet their specific needs, as well as addressing and resolving customer support tickets related to environments and infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
DevOps (Product)
Manage our Outsourcing partner (for all internal IT: ISO compliance, Maintain infrastructure, Utilize Containerization, Monitoring performance, Maintaince of windows systems and laptops)
Review and implement SQL scripts for data extraction and database updates.
Manage and maintain databases, working with systems like MS SQL or MongoDB.
Oversee the maintenance, stability, and performance of internal environments, servers, and core applications
Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and other relevant platforms.
Write and maintain scripts using languages such as Python and PowerShell, ensuring the automation of routine tasks.
Release Manager:
Maintain and manage repository branches to support ongoing development and release activities.
Ensure that hotfixes and official releases are delivered on schedule.
Collaborate closely with QA and developers to coordinate testing, fixes, and deployments.
Organize and plan hotfixes and releases by defining and managing the tickets/items to be included in each release cycle
Other:
Collaborate with teams to identify and implement improvements to our infrastructure, processes and tools.
Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and industry trends in DevOps, cloud computing, and infrastructure as code.
Requirements:
Based in the Netherlands and eligible to work
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
5+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or a similar role.
Extensive experience with Microsoft Azure and Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines.
Extensive experience with Windows OS, including knowledge of IIS for hosting web applications, is a strong plus. Familiarity with the broader Windows ecosystem is essential.
Proficiency in writing scripts in languages such as PowerShell and SQL.
Experience with monitoring and logging tools.
Experience with MFA authentication, federated authorisation and security management tools.
Strong understanding of security best practices and experience with security assessments.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Ability to work well in a fast-paced and dynamic international environment.
Ability to work independently, propose innovative solutions, and make informed decisions.
Relevant Microsoft certification is a plus.
Experience with Microsoft Office 365 and SharePoint is a plus.
Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
