DevOps Automation Expert

(Remote/Eindhoven)


A great Contract opportunity for an experienced Devops Engineer to join a Leading Global Semiconductor Company, supporting their team based in Eindhoven, The Netherlands.


You will work alongside the Automation Services team, who play a crucial role in enabling various IT teams and departments within the company to reduce operational workload by automating repetitive tasks and processes.


In this role you will design, develop, and deliver automation solutions for various IT teams and departments. Your broad IT knowledge and expertise will allow you to automate diverse IT components, ranging from windows OS, virtualization, networking and storage.


Responsibilities:

  • Analyze, design, and implement automation solutions for IT environments.
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines in GitLab to enable seamless integration and deployment of automation processes.
  • Write and maintain automation scripts using tools like Powershell. Experience with Python, batch scripting and other script languages is a plus.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to identify opportunities for automation and drive continuous improvement in their processes.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to automation tools and workflows.
  • Document and share best practices to enable other teams to adopt and scale automation solutions effectively.
  • Stay up to date with the latest trends and technologies in automation and DevOps to recommend improvements.


Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in IT or a related field
  • 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Broad IT knowledge across areas such as Windows OS, virtualization and Active Directory.
  • Strong experience with Powershell
  • Experience with Python is a plus.
  • Proficiency with automation tools like Ansible.
  • Strong experience in setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, ideally in GitLab.
  • Solid understanding of Agile principles and DevOps practices.
  • Hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code tools and methodologies.
  • Problem-solving mindset with the ability to proactively identify and address challenges.
  • Located in the Netherlands, with the ability to travel to the Eindhoven High Tech Campus.
