Benefits Package: Comprehensive Benefits Package The role of the Designer - Aluminium Curtain Walling will involve:
- Designer position dealing with a high end range of roofing and cladding systems such as: rainscreen cladding, single ply, composite roofing and cladding, SFS and liquid applied
- Produce 2D project specific working and fabrication drawings
- Liaise regularly with architects, structural engineers, and contractors to discuss any design related queries
- Liaise with systems manufacturers and suppliers
- Work closely with internal departments providing support and resolving queries
- Ensure designs meet quality standards, building regulations, and H&S requirements
- Attend weekly design virtually and face to face as and when required
- Producing estimates for projects ranging in value from £2k to £1m
- Scope to progress into a Senior position
The ideal applicant will be a Designer - Aluminium Curtain Walling experience with:
- Must have 5+ years' Design experience within the roofing and cladding market sector
- Familiar with a range of building envelope systems such as: Kalzip Cladding, Rainscreen Cladding, Flat Roofing systems, Composite Roofing/Cladding etc
- Must have AutoCAD experience (2D)
- Must have a sound understanding of building regulations
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Team player with a positive outlook
- Motivated, proactive, and driven individual
- Must be commercially aware and cost focused
- IT literate (Microsoft Office)
