Designated Safeguarding Lead

REED FE are seeking a dedicated Designated Safeguarding Lead to join a fantastic team on a temporary basis. This role is crucial for ensuring the safety and well-being of young vulnerable individuals. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in safeguarding with experience working with SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities)

• Designated Safeguarding Lead
• Hourly Rate: £20 - £25
• Location: Brighton
• Job Type: Part-time (4 days per week) ongoing
• Start Date: ASAP

Day-to-day of the role of the DSL:

• Implement and manage safeguarding policies and procedures.
• Act as the first point of contact for all safeguarding issues.
• Train and support staff on safeguarding practices.
• Monitor and report on the well-being of vulnerable individuals.
• Collaborate with external organisations to ensure comprehensive support.
• Maintain confidential records of all safeguarding issues.

Required Skills & Qualifications for the Designated Safeguarding Lead:

• Minimum of Level 3 in Safeguarding.
• Proven experience working with young vulnerable people.
• Experience working with SEND.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
