Job Description

We are looking for a talented Design Verification Engineer to join our teams in Newbury, England.

In this role, you will play a key part in verifying complex mixed-signal ICs, building reusable testbenches, and contributing to the development of advanced verification methodologies.

We are seeking talented Design Verification Engineers at all levels to join our Newbury and Edinburgh offices. This is an exciting opportunity to work on digital verification for complex mixed-signal IC developments, contribute to cutting-edge projects, and help improve verification methodology.

Responsibilities
  • Define IC verification plans linking product requirements to detailed test cases
  • Lead verification engineers to deliver thoroughly verified ICs
  • Create reliable and reusable testbenches for complex subsystems and ICs
  • Participate in verification specialist groups and contribute to methodology improvements
  • Support and coach the verification team in following and enhancing defined methodology practices
  • Hands on involvement in project design and verification activities
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • BEng / BSc / MEng / MSc or equivalent in Electronics, Computer Science, or related discipline
  • Proven track record in delivering first time success with complex mixed signal ICs
  • Metric driven verification: planning, requirements extraction, directed & constrained random verification, functional and code coverage analysis
  • SystemVerilog, including SVA (SystemVerilog Assertions)
  • Testbench design using verification frameworks such as UVM, OVM, e, or VMM
  • Strong RTL/testbench debugging skills (including gate level SDF)
  • Strong problem solving, analytical, and interpretation skills
  • Innovative, creative, and lateral thinking approach to problem solving
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
  • Experience with formal verification and verification qualification techniques
  • Scripting experience: Ruby, sh/csh, TCL, Make, Perl
  • Power aware verification (using CPF/UPF)
  • Object oriented programming and use of OOP design patterns
Additional Information
  • Hybrid remote position: 2+ days in office per week, with days based on business needs and team preference
  • Candidates must be within a commutable distance to the office or willing to relocate prior to employment
