Job vacancy information:Department:Retail, Services and OperationsLocation:Scarborough, North YorkshireSalary:£24,242 per annum (pro-rated to £9,828 based on 15 hours per week)Closing Date:3 November 2025Hours:Part-time, 15 hours per week (covering either Sunday and Monday or Friday and Saturday) with flexibility for sickness and holidayTerm:Permanent - 2 positions available Deputy Shop Manager content About the roleWe are currently looking for two Deputy Shop Managers who will initially support us in establishing our brand-new shop in Scarborough, working with the Shop Manager to implement processes and ways of working.On an ongoing basis, you will manage the day-to-day operations of the shop in the absence of the Shop Manager, including managing a team of volunteers, ensuring accurate accounting and handling of assets, delivering high standards of customer service, and adhering to all charity policies and procedures. You will lead by example and ensure that volunteers, supporters, donors, and customers understand how their contributions are making a difference to the lives of people in Yorkshire and beyond.You will need to be committed to creating a welcoming professional atmosphere and demonstrating the values of Yorkshire Cancer Research. You will also be a passionate and enthusiastic ambassador for the charity and its work. There are two positions available.
