We're recruiting an experienced Deputy General Manager who is passionate about exceptional food and world class customer service, and who can confidently oversee all Compass Group UK&I catering and service operations for Compass Group Ireland on a full time basis, Monday to Friday, 7am - 3pm.
As a Deputy General Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring our kitchens and service counters run smoothly and helping to deliver truly incredible food experiences. Your key responsibilities will include:- Responsible for the overall management of the contract to ensure great quality, consistent food and beverage services across 5 outlets
- Maintain positive client relationships to ensure we are true partners in their business
- Ensure smooth planning of the contract and resources to deliver a first class food and beverage service
- Lead, recruit, train & develop your team
- Ensure the contract is fully compliant with company policies and procedures
- Assist on the delivery of the agreed financial budget and run commercially in line with net income and cost targets
- Your location achieves the financial targets agreed with the client in line with your site budget
- Working with your Operations Manager you will monitor the work of all staff, carry out appraisals, identify training needs and ensure we are meeting the standards required by the client
- Using your creative skills to create and implement outside the box ideas to ensure a thriving and successful working environment
- A successful background in Contract Catering and/or Hospitality Catering
- Excellent management & leadership skills to engage and motivate teams
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Experience with data management
- Quality and process driven, with a particular focus on delivering results and a passion for food and customer service
- Ability to deliver an exceptional customer experience
- Previous budget management and/or profit & loss responsibility - proven track record in managing P&L and achieving budgets
- Knowledge of SAP & Nexus
- Creative and innovative - think outside the box for ideas and solutions
