The Amazon Web Services Professional Services (ProServe) team is seeking a skilled Delivery Consultant (DevOps) to join our team at Amazon Web Services (AWS). In this role, you'll work closely with customers to design, implement, and manage AWS solutions that meet their technical requirements and business objectives. You'll be a key player in driving customer success through their cloud journey, providing technical expertise and best practices throughout the project lifecycle.
You possess a deep understanding of AWS products and services and will be proficient in architecting complex, scalable, and secure solutions tailored to each customer's needs. Working closely with stakeholders, you will gather requirements, assess current infrastructure, and propose effective migration strategies to AWS.
The AWS Professional Services organization is a global team of experts that help customers realize desired business outcomes using the AWS Cloud. As part of this team, you will collaborate with customer teams and the AWS Partner Network to execute enterprise cloud initiatives and deliver focused guidance through our specialty practices.
This is a customer facing role that requires travel to UK client locations (approximately 3 4 days per week). UK Nationality is required. UK Government Security Clearance is required for this role.
Key job responsibilities- Solutions: work with customers to solve problems, define and deliver on site technical engagements, understand security and compliance requirements, and deliver packaged security offerings.
- Expertise: specialise in enterprise security programs and develop AWS cloud security models, including identity and access management, logging and monitoring, infrastructure security, data protection, and incident response.
- Delivery: provide on site consultancy to deliver projects, support migrations, and build new applications using AWS services.
- Insights: convey partner and customer feedback to AWS technology roadmaps.
- Practice Development: capture, package, and share knowledge with customers, partners, and AWS employees; develop tools, services, and artifacts to help others build on your work.
- Work backwards from desired customer outcomes to design and deliver technical solutions.
- Work on projects with autonomy and discretion.
- Advise customers on implementing solutions.
- Assist customers with building Proof of Concepts and implementing AWS services.
- Collaborate with Sales and AWS Service Teams.
- Research, validate, and beta test new AWS Services.
- Present workshops one to one or one to many.
- Bachelor's degree, or experience in a professional field or military background.
- Experience as a technical specialist in design and architecture.
- Experience in software development with object oriented languages.
- Experience in consulting, design, and implementation of serverless distributed solutions.
- Experience in IT implementation.
- Technical expertise (design and implementation) in cloud computing technologies.
- Experience leading the design, development, and deployment of business software at scale or recent hands on experience with technology infrastructure, network, compute, storage, and virtualization.
- Experience with cloud based solutions (AWS or equivalent), systems, network, and operating systems.
