Requirements:

• This role is fully remote. You can work from anywhere in South Africa.
• 3+ years of professional experience in DataOps, Data Engineering, Product Ownership, or a similar data-focused role
• Strong experience working with Python, Azure, and SQL in modern data environments
• Experience managing data platform backlogs, prioritising technical initiatives, and aligning stakeholders across engineering and business teams
• Strong understanding of data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, data warehousing, and cloud-based data architectures
• Experience working in agile delivery environments using Scrum or Kanban methodologies
• Experience using tools such as Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar collaboration platforms

Nice to have:

• Experience with data orchestration and workflow tools such as Airflow, Dagster, or Prefect
• Exposure to analytics and BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker
• Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code practices
• Relevant certifications in Azure, Product Management, or Agile methodologies
• Experience mentoring junior team members or leading cross-functional data initiatives
