The Opportunity

Starting on an associate contract, the role offers a clear path to permanent employment for the right candidate.

About the Role
As a Datacentre Engineer, you'll be hands-on in supporting critical IT infrastructure, ensuring systems remain reliable, secure, and efficient. You'll play a key role in both day-to-day datacentre operations and longer-term project work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing 3rd line hardware break/fix support across a modern x86 server estate.

  • Handling full IMAC services - installs, moves, and decommissions - using enterprise tools such as ServiceNow, CMDB, and vendor provisioning platforms.

  • Acting as smart-hands support for infrastructure and security teams, from initial troubleshooting to RMA replacement, installation, and basic configuration of hardware.

  • Supporting tape library operations (loading/ejecting) as part of wider backup management processes.

  • Occasionally travelling between two nearby datacentre sites (minimal requirement).

What You'll Bring

  • Solid hands-on experience working within datacentres.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and technical know-how.

  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities.

  • A flexible, adaptable attitude and the confidence to work both independently and as part of a team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a datacentre professional seeking long-term career growth with a respected IT consultancy.
