 Data Warehouse Consultant - HIRING ASAP
Start date: ASAP
Duration: 6-Month Contract
Location: 2 days in Dublin office, 3 days working from home.
Rate: €450 - €480 per day

Responsibilities
- Identify data requirements and data sources and engage with data owners and stakeholders to ensure data access and ingest.
 - Design, develop, implement, and manage Business Intelligence reporting and Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes and environments.
 - Design of data models and warehousing to best meet the requirements of DAFM Business Divisions and to maximise capabilities of available tools.
 - Liaise with the business owners to monitor and report on project progression.
 - Write and provide documentation including functional & technical specification and user guides or any supporting documentation required by the business owner.
 - Provide training including presentations and facilitate/organise workshops as required.
 - Maintenance and support of analytical products throughout their life cycle.
 
- Experience with Real Time analytics and Business Intelligence platforms including the following software and database systems; Microsoft Power BI, Oracle, Cloudera & Hadoop.
 - Oracle is a must-have.
 - Using Scripting languages to develop new insights from the available data. Including the following programming languages; SQL/PL/SQL.
 - Experience in designing, developing, documenting, managing, and implementing Business Intelligence technical solutions covering Data modelling and Data architecture design (both logical and physical).
 - Experience in Data Warehouse design methodologies eg star and snowflake schemas, or equivalent.
 - Implementation, ETL, data integration and data migration design and implementation and Data warehouse performance optimisation.
 - Experience in data management best practices including demonstrated experience with data profiling, sourcing, and cleansing routines utilising typical data quality functions including standardisation, transformation, rationalisation, linking and matching.
 - Experience in providing data that is accurate, congruent, and reliable, and ensure the information is easily available to users for direct consumption or integration with other systems.
 - Experience supporting mission-critical enterprise BI Systems.
 - Experience in delivering end to end BI systems.
 - Experience of working within a Public Service Body to develop insights for data driven policy development.
