In this dynamic media landscape, we are transforming from a traditional media agency into a leading consultancy for data-driven marketing and content. For this crucial development, we are seeking an analytical and conceptually strong Data Strategy Director. As a Senior Data Strategist, you are capable of formulating a clear vision for data-driven marketing and continuously innovating, advising and strategically supporting clients and colleagues to be successful. You understand the complex marketing challenges faced by organizations and are able to bridge the gap between business, marketing, media, creation, data, and technology.
What will you do as a Data Strategy Director? As a Data Strategy Director, you help our clients effectively connect marketing, media, data, and technology. You work closely within client teams to advise brands on how to leverage their marketing data and technology more intelligently. You understand client challenges and needs and translate these into solutions, including our own products and propositions, as well as what is available on the market.
You identify opportunities, fathom complex marketing issues, and translate them into concrete, actionable data-driven solutions - from strategy to implementation. In doing so, you guide transformation processes that help organizations become truly data-driven, and act as a driving force behind new propositions. Your expertise focuses on crucial areas such as:
- Data strategies: Development of future-proof data collection, MarTech, AdTech, governance, and automation.
- Audience strategies: Optimization of target audience segmentation, consumer experience optimization, data activation, and personalization in paid and owned media.
- Marketing effectiveness: Implementation of test & learn methodologies, marketing mix modelling, attribution modelling, analytics, reporting, and data visualization.
You will work closely with approximately 40 data specialists within our team, including marketing analysts, data scientists, analytics experts, AI specialists, and CX strategists. With your experience in consultancy and marketing strategy, you act as the link between disciplines, safeguard quality, and drive innovation.
Who are you?
- You have an academic level of work and thinking.
- You have an excellent command of both Dutch and English. You have a passion for data, technology, and marketing, and do not shy away from complex issues.
- You can effectively translate strategic and tactical goals into clear, action-oriented strategies and concrete projects for data and media specialists.
- You can conduct conversations at a strategic level with CMOs and other senior stakeholders, you have a good understanding of customer needs and challenges, and are strong in persuading and advising.
- You have at least 7 years of relevant experience as a consultant or strategist within the context of marketing, a media agency, or a consultancy firm.
- In-depth knowledge of data strategies (including future-proof data collection, MarTech, AdTech, governance), audience strategies (including market and customer segmentation, data activation, CX optimization, personalization), and marketing effectiveness (including MMM, attribution modelling, test & learn).
- You have experience leading workshops and projects and know how to successfully bring teams together.
