SQL Data Developer SQL Developer Power BI Azure SQL Azure Storage .NET

I'm working with a fast-growing tech company that's transforming how businesses manage safety and compliance across thousands of sites. Their platform is built on a robust .NET ecosystem and is scaling rapidly-now they need a Data Services Lead to take full ownership of the data layer and help drive that growth.

This is a hands-on, backend-focused role where you'll take full ownership of the data layer as a Data Services Lead-from architecture and performance to compliance and BI. If you're someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, enjoys solving real-world problems, and wants to shape both technology and process, this could be a great fit.

What You'll Be Doing as a Data Services Lead
  • Designing and optimising schemas, stored procedures, and SQL queries
  • Managing distributed databases across multiple regions
  • Setting up and configuring Azure SQL and Azure Storage
  • Monitoring live systems and resolving performance issues (deadlocks, spikes, etc.)
  • Leading compliance workflows and documentation in a regulated environment
  • Supporting BI delivery (Power BI experience helpful, but this isn't a BI role)
What They Are Looking For
  • Strong experience in MSSQL, data architecture, and engineering
  • Deep understanding of query optimisation and execution plans
  • Experience with Azure cloud services and .NET/Entity Framework
  • Comfortable working in regulated environments (e.g., GDPR)
  • Familiarity with ETL processes, semantic models, and Power BI/DAX
  • Someone who's backend-focused-not just reporting, but building the engine

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a company that's scaling quickly and investing heavily in its data infrastructure. You'll be working with a team that values collaboration, autonomy, and building things that actually make a difference.
