Data Scientist x2 (Contract)

Our client is seeking 2x Data Scientists with expert level R programming to join them on a project.

Start Date: ASAP
Duration: 150 days
Pay Rate: Competitive
IR35 Status: Outside
Location: UK Remote or UK Time Zone Working

• Expert-level R programming and R package development.
• Proficiency with GitHub and unit testing frameworks.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.
• Background in biostatistics or clinical programming.
• Experience in the pharmaceutical industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate and document R packages, including metadata and user-focused use cases.
• Develop unit tests aligned with best practices in R package development.
• Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders.

Soft Skills:

• Flexible approach and ability to work co-operatively within a newly created team environment.
• Should be a self-starter and be able to perform quality assurance and control to create technical deliverables that are error free / with minimal non-functional defects.
• Experience in operationally supporting large, complex technical environments.
• Methodical and structured in their approach to tasks.
• Capability to organise and prioritise tasks.
• Strong interpersonal skills to establish/maintain relationships and interact with team members.
• Strong organisation and time management skills.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
