Data Scientist

At Agap2, we are looking for a passionate and experienced Data Scientist with expertise in Natural Language Processing (NLP) to join an innovative and collaborative team working on cutting-edge AI and data-driven projects.

Location: Hybrid - Barcelona (2-3 days on-site)

What you'll do:

• Design and implement advanced NLP solutions (text classification, entity recognition, summarization, sentiment analysis, etc.).
• Develop and deploy machine learning models for language understanding and generation tasks.
• Work with large-scale textual datasets from various sources (structured and unstructured).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineers, product owners, and stakeholders.
• Continuously improve model performance through evaluation, tuning, and retraining.
• Stay up to date with the latest NLP research, tools, and frameworks (transformers, LLMs, embeddings, etc.).
• Apply and adapt pre-trained models (e.g., BERT, GPT, RoBERTa) to solve real-world business challenges.

Requirements:

• 4-5 years of professional experience in Data Science, with strong focus on NLP.
• Proven experience with Python and libraries like spaCy, NLTK, Hugging Face Transformers, scikit-learn.
• Experience working with machine learning frameworks and cloud platforms (Azure preferred).
• Solid understanding of deep learning techniques applied to text.
• Strong communication skills in English (C1 level).
• Experience with data pipelines, APIs, and model deployment is a plus.
