Position Overview: We are seeking a talented and motivated Data Scientist to join our analytics team. In this role, you will work on impactful projects that enhance operational efficiency, optimize energy consumption, and support our sustainability goals. You will turn complex data into actionable insights, develop predictive models, and contribute to digital transformation initiatives across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze large datasets from energy generation, consumption, and grid operations.
  • Build predictive models for energy forecasting, grid load balancing, maintenance scheduling, and market trend analysis.
  • Collaborate with engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to define data requirements and deliver tailored solutions.
  • Design and implement machine learning algorithms to optimize asset performance and energy trading strategies.
  • Develop dashboards and visualization tools to communicate insights effectively.
  • Support the integration of IoT and smart meter data into analytical models.
  • Maintain data pipelines and ensure data quality and consistency.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in data science or analytics, preferably in the energy, utilities, or industrial sector.
  • Proficient in Python and SQL; experience with cloud platform Azure | AI, ML desired
  • Strong knowledge of machine learning, statistical analysis, and time-series forecasting.
  • Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar).
  • Familiarity with energy market dynamics, renewables, or smart grids is highly desirable.
  • Fluent in English; Dutch proficiency is a plus.
