Data Science Internship

What Will You Do

• Data Exploration & Modeling: Analyze large and complex datasets to uncover patterns, trends, and correlations. Build predictive and classification models to solve real business problems and drive data-informed decisions.

• Insight Generation & Communication: Translate data insights into clear, actionable recommendations. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to guide strategy, optimize operations, and support product and business development.

• Data Automation: Develop and implement automated processes to streamline data collection, reporting, and other business operations. Use tools and scripts to reduce manual effort and enhance efficiency.

• Model Deployment & Monitoring: Deploy machine learning models into production environments and monitor their performance. Work closely with engineering teams to ensure scalability, robustness, and real-time capabilities.

• Continuous Improvement: Stay current with best practices and emerging tools in data science, and proactively improve methodologies, models, and processes to increase impact.

Who Are We Looking For

Must-Have:

• Data Analysis & Statistical Thinking: Strong analytical skills with experience exploring data, identifying trends, and translating insights into strategic recommendations.
• Data Visualization Skills: Ability to build clear, compelling data visualizations to support storytelling and decision-making (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or Python libraries like Plotly or Seaborn).
• Python for Data Science: Experience with Python for data manipulation (Pandas, NumPy), analysis, and automation.
• SQL Proficiency: Solid experience writing efficient queries to manipulate and extract data from relational databases.
• Problem-Solving Mindset: Ability to frame ambiguous business problems as analytical challenges and solve them creatively and effectively.
• Communication Skills: Fluent in both Spanish and English (minimum C1 level), with the ability to explain complex data topics to non-technical stakeholders.
• Attention to Detail: Strong accuracy and rigor in data handling, modeling, and documentation.
• Startup Readiness: Comfortable working in fast-changing environments and taking ownership of tasks without rigid structures.
• Time & Project Management: Able to manage several analytical tasks or mini-projects in parallel with minimal supervision.

Nice-to-Have:

• Machine Learning Exposure: Familiarity with basic ML concepts (regression, clustering, classification) and their practical business applications.
• Deployment Awareness: Basic understanding of model deployment, versioning, and monitoring.
• Data Engineering Familiarity: Understanding of data pipelines, ETL processes, and data warehousing concepts.
• BI Tool Variety: Experience with alternative BI or visualization tools (e.g., Looker, Qlik, D3.js, Metabase).
• Relevant Experience: Previous work in data science, BI, or analytics-especially in startups or high-growth environments.
