Data Privacy and Governance - Banking Consultant

We are seeking a Data Governance & Privacy Expert to join its Centre of Excellence (CoE) in Data Governance. The role focuses on supporting regulatory compliance (GDPR, AI regulation), data ethics, data quality, and enterprise data governance. You will assess privacy risks (DPIA), advise on data protection strategies, contribute to regulatory documentation, and support business teams in implementing compliant data handling practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct risk assessments and deliver Data Privacy Impact Assessments (DPIAs)
• Provide advisory services and incident support related to GDPR and AI data ethics
• Define and implement data governance processes, standards, and training
• Serve as point of contact for data protection and compliance issues across business and IT
• Support cross-functional initiatives in data privacy, quality, and regulation adherence

Profile:

• 5+ years of experience in data privacy, compliance, or data governance
• Strong understanding of GDPR and data protection principles
• Master's degree in Law, Engineering, or related discipline (DPO certification is a plus)
• Excellent communication, documentation, and analytical skills
• Experience in risk, audit, or financial services is an advantage
• Fluent in English and French or Dutch
