Data Platform Architect

We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Data Architect to join a leading tech consultancy on a contract basis. This exciting opportunity will involve helping one of Switzerland's leading consultancies with their bids and delivery work on a range of business-critical projects

The role requires German language skills, and candidates to be a commutable distance from Basel.

Key Responsibilities:

• Engage with clients to assess their data needs and define future-state architectures.
• Design end-to-end data architectures including data ingestion, storage, processing, and access layers.
• Lead the development of data modelling standards and oversee data model implementations.
• Define and enforce data governance, metadata management, and data quality practices.
• Provide architectural guidance on data warehousing, data lakes, Real Time streaming, and cloud-native solutions.
• Help support bid work and delivery for multiple key projects for the business within Banking and Insurance

Desirable Requirements:

• Strong background in navigating complex Data Architectures
• Experience with Azure
• Experience with Databricks
• Strong Data Modelling experience
• Experience with AI platforms would be a big plus for this role

The role offers the flexibility of a hybrid work arrangement and is a 6 month contract.
