Job Description

Job Title: Data Governance Coordinator

Location: Eindhoven, Netherlands (Hybrid - 2-3 days onsite/week)

Duration: Long-Term Contract

Contract Type: B2B


Overview:

We are seeking a Data Governance Coordinator to lead the organizational side of data governance within our data lakehouse environment. You will play a key role in defining and maintaining policies, procedures, and accountability around data management, ensuring they align with business objectives and regulatory requirements.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain data governance, security, quality, and lifecycle management policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with data stewards and business teams to ensure understanding and compliance with governance frameworks.
  • Lead initiatives in data classification, ownership, and documentation of data assets.
  • Conduct training and communication sessions to promote data governance across teams.
  • Monitor policy adherence and identify areas for improvement.
  • Facilitate coordination between developers, business users, and technical teams on data management practices.
  • Work closely with the data governance developer, data lake operations team, and business adoption team.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Operations Research, Information Management, or related fields.
  • Experience in data governance, data quality, or data management roles.
  • Strong understanding of data governance frameworks and compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Familiarity with data management tools (e.g., AWS Lake Formation, data catalogs) is a plus.
  • CDMP (Certified Data Management Professional) certification is highly desirable.


Desired Skills:

  • Self-starter with strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Comfortable working independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Knowledge of data quality management and organizational change management.
  • Strong IT technical acumen and ability to understand data infrastructure.
